My box seems fu(ked as it now shows 8888 or somethingto that effect, then goes ---- when trying to power up. It does not properly boot up. It seems like it is tryin to boot up, but fails. Any ideas folks?
are you sure you flashed it properly, or do you have a clone box, look in the top of the vents, if you see a silver heatsink in the middle of the box, you have a clone box, and will have to be returned to supplier to be changed.
I have been using it fine for the last few months, then when returning from holiday (after having it switched off at the wall) I had issues booting it back up.
I thought the issue was too much power on the co-ax line, as i kept getting electric shocks off it, so when I disconnected the co-ax I managed to boot it up ok, though now even by trying this it still does not boot up.
I will check when I get home tonight to see if this is a clone box, though if it is I'm on to plums as farango (where I bought it) doesnt seem to be trading anymore.
If it turns out to be a clone box, why would that be a problem? as it was working at first. and secondly, where can you get one that is definitely not clone box?
Checked my box, it has a bloody silver heatsink!! the vents are 7 rows of 25. I tried emailing the company I got it from thought I doubt I'll get any joy since i had it 2 months. damn!
