You've heard wrong wrong wrong. iXtreme 1.6 can read all games as of now so you don't have to worry.
ABGX360 can tell you if it's Wave 2 or 3 if you are still curious.

You can play Live with all games. Just make sure to run it through ABGX to check if the .iso is correct.

Well if you read my how to burn 360 games thread-
3. High Quality DVD+R DL discs (Verbatim DVD+R DL that are Made in Singapore are the most recommended. Memorex or other cheapies are not.) You MUST use DVD+R DL, NOT DVD-R DL.

It will be a Benq as you are using iXtreme 1.6. The higest version for Hiatchi is 1.51 (still plays wave 3).
Also ignore this, "I was hoping not to see a BENQ drive as there are no flashing utilities available at the moment " from the LLama link as its outdated. BenQ's are the best drives you can get!

i beleive this to be my final question in this post, and i would like to say thank you to all who helped me,and soon hope to return the favor...(llama post was very outdated)
lets say i rip a game, and run abgx360 and all text is green and blue, this means the game is correct right and is safe to play live with any subscript.?

Right if it's all green and blue then the .iso is fine. If it says verification failed in yellow then that means that the game is not in the ABGX database yet.
You are of course never safe from getting banned from Live. You will get banned some day. Having a proper rip just decreases the chances.

If it says verification failed then that means that the game is not yet in the ABGX database. If it passes then the .iso is fine but remember that you are not ban-proof.

yeah i got that thanx..so the auto fix funtion works? and what about regions?can i play another region as long as i am not online(aka unplugged).the reason i ask bout the auto fix is that the first time it failed and it said to try level three,to attemp the fix.did it and all is blue and green i and no errors?

thanx again...

Leave the auto-fix at 3. Doing so ABGX checks if all the stealth files are correct.
Every game is different with regions. Some are region-free while others are compatible with specific regions. ABGX will tell you which it is.

just wondering cuase i found this......and i am not sure of the exploit involved with this console..
Felix Domke, Michael Steil, Free60 Project; 11 August 2009
Dangerous Xbox 360 Update Killing Homebrew
On Tuesday, Microsoft has released an Xbox 360 software update that overwrites the first stage bootloader of the system. Although there have been numerous software updates for Microsoft's gaming console in the past, this is the first one to overwrite the vital boot block. Any failure while updating this will break the Xbox 360 beyond repair. Statistics from other systems have shown that about one in a thousand bootloader updates goes wrong, and unless Microsoft has a novel solution to this problem, this puts tens of thousands of Xboxes at risk.
It seems that this update is being done to fix a vulnerability already known to the Free60 Project. This vulnerability has been successfully exploited to run arbitrary code, and a complete end user compatible hack has been in development for some time and is planned to be released on free60.org shortly. It will allow users to take back control of their Xboxes and run arbitrary code like homebrew applications or Linux right after turning on the console and without the need of a modchip, finally opening up the Xbox 360 to a level of hacking as the original Xbox.
Because of the dangerousness of the update and the homebrew lockout, the Free60 Project advises all Xbox 360 users to not update their systems to the latest software version. The Project website at http://free60.org/ will provide the latest information on this ongoing topic, including the final hack software.
Free60 (www.free60.org) is a project that aims to enable Xbox 360 users to run homebrew applications and operating systems like Linux on their consoles. The effort is headed by Felix Domke and Michael Steil, who have a background in dbox2, Xbox and GameCube hacking, and who have spoken at various conferences about their findings. Two years ago, Free60 released a hack that allowed arbitrary code execution using a game ("King Kong Hack") as well as an adapted version of Linux, but this possibility has been disabled by Microsoft in subsequent updates of the Xbox 360 software.
