New LiteOn Firmware Guide?

I was wondering if anyone (mainly looking at leerage lol) has been able to put together a good solid tutorial for the new LiteOn Drives. I just received a console back from MSFT and wanted to mod the drive which is the new firmware revision of the LiteOn. I just don't want to make stupid mistakes and I also have Samsung and BenQ drive for the 360 that I can test on the console to make surte the LiteOn went well.
Just looking for a guide.

Lite-ON 83850C tutorial
That isn't my tutorial. But I do plan on making a walkthrough for the 83850C similar to the other walkthroughs I've made.

Thanks for the link, so I have to redownload the new version of JungleFlasher and the new LiteOn 83850 firmware and put that in the JF firmware folder?
And I have to also obtain OpenKey program and I am good to go?

Yup, make sure you got JF 0.1.65, the ix16liteon838.bin in the firmware folder, and OpenKey v0.2.

ugh, i hope i dont get the new liteon when i get my console back from MS. i dont feel like learning how to flash another drive.

i know, im just used to opening up JF and going with the norm. now ill have to read the guides, and go slow. but at least it gives me a reason to actually install JF in vista (which i use the most) instead of rebooting back into xp every time.

I did the same thing when I encountered my first 83850C. Took my time and spoofed to a BenQ to double check. All went well.

yea, luckily i have a spare benq from when i replaced my brothers *started giving a lot of disc read errors and dirty discs, it was easier to switch drives than dick with the POT, or laser swap* that and i have a test drive now.

i just built a new PC, and I have windows 7 (RTM build completely activated), so this will be interesting to see if JF will work in it.
need jtag help? Xbox 360 console repair? PM me or chat |

Yup, it will work. I got Win7 RTM 32bit and it works perfectly with JF and OpenKey.

sweet. well i use 64 bit ultimate, but it should be able to run jf in a 32 bit shell.
