Hey there,

So I'm playing my 360 (as I always do)...
And I hear this popping/Crackling sound coming from the back of the 360?

It almost sounds like its coming from the Power plugin part of the 360.

I thought it may be the Fan chipping away but its not? (I think)

FYI -
My 360 is from '07
It is modded
Back 2 Fans have been Modded to blow 2x faster
And the system has "Red-Ringed" once already, witch was fixed (X-Clamp)

Does your 360 still power on? If you have crackling noises coming from that region, I would definitely open it up and check it out.

Yes it still powers on / and plays just like normal.
I have no idea if I should continue to act as if nothing has happened and keep having fun with my 360 ...(Maybe it will just stop making the sound?)

**ATTN**

I have fixed the Problem, And it is so LAME!

The problem was a piece of Electrical tape (Holding the Fan Wires to the MOBO) had gotten loose!

and was "Clicking" off the Fan blade

Like a Baseball Card in a Bicycle Tire.

well i wish it wasn't, because i have this problem believe it or not. but i cant pinpoint where it is coming from. the sound did stop though, and i havn't heard it again.
