Boot Mii ~ Controllers not working

After I installed boot me on my wii... my controllers no longer work... I tried to sync them, but that doesn't seem to work either...

Does anyone know what's going on? Or has anyone else had this problem? They just blink at me...

the wiimotes are NOT suppose to work when on the bootmii menu. either use a gamecube controller or the power/reset buttons on the wii to navigate.
