can i record a video on a dvd rw. and do i do it the same way that i record a dvd-r? thanks

I couldn't figure out what u meant by the term video. An AVI, quicktime or a mpeg video?

If any of the above is correct, then u can burn it as a data in dvd-r and u can watch it in your pc as usual, but not on a standalone dvd.

The proc is very much the same. U open your burning program and drop the file inside.

what i meant was, can i burn a movie on a dvd+rw and then watch it on my dvd to see how it is. then if it is good burn it on a dvd-r and if it is not good erase the dvdrw and try again?

off course u can. Provided that your standalone is capable of playback of dvd-rw

well, on the list and in the manual it says my dvd player plays and supports mp3,dvd video,dvdrw,and dvd+r and dvd-r. it is a pioneer.
