Extremely weird problem.. my xbox won't turn off

I go and turn push the power button and it powers down but the first green ring stays on, then it powers back up again.

I turn it off with the controller and everything shuts down normally then a few seconds later it springs back to life again.

I tried removing the battery pack and it still boots up on its own. I also tried taking out the power cord which (of course) turns it off but as soon as I plug the power cord back in it boots back up again.

Ok well I had the power unplugged and just plugged it back in right now and it SEEMS to be doing ok..

That was weird.

Maybe you had background downloads turned on, and you were downloading something?

No I didn't have any downloads running, I checked that too.

It was seriously one of the weirdest things I have ever seen.

My xbox was posessed :(

if you have a controller plugged in it will run to charge it.
