i have just bought the hd700x optoma projector and have tried connecting my ps3 via hdmi but it doesnt pick it up. iv tried other hdmi devices, blu-player as well as a dvd player and they work fine.
so thinking that the optoma was fine, i changed the wire, but still no success. i know hdmi works on the ps3, because iv tried it at my mates house, on his lcd, and its fine. xbox also works fine on the optoma via hdmi.
i dont know whats wrong. iv reset, by holding down the power button. changed whilst connected with hdmi and composite simultaneously, and seperatly. also tried a different ps3 and that doesnt work either. iv been at this for the past couple of days. but i cant get any ps3 to connect to the projector.iv tried 3 so far.

any ideas!!
Yeah, he already did that.
I don't know if the projector has multiple HDMI inputs, but if it does, have you tried it in other inputs?
You may just be better off using Component for the PS3, since the Projector only does 720p.
thanks guys for the reply. i have been stuck with using component for now. iv come across people on forums with the same problem, and some have said its down to hdmi encryption code being stuck. think i may just continue to use component. how inferior if at all, is component in terms of overall quality in comparison to hdmi. im not missing out on anything am i.
No you're not missing much at all really. The way I see it, is to get HDMI for resolution of 1080p. Like with my 360, I only have a 720p TV for it, so I have component for it.
