Ok, i googled, and i got this page. I dunno if it will work, can someone verify it, it seems a little too simple for me to be comfortable.
http://www.360-hq.com/xbox-tutorials-64.html
Only thing that I thought that would be an obstacle is it says:
"Boot to dos from a writeable medium (like a floppy)"
I wanna know, since i don't have a floppy disk drive, would a usb stick or sd card work?
If so, how can i put a bootable dos on it?
Also, will I be able to use any enclosure that connects the hdd to the computer for this? or will i have to buy something specific?

If you need to make a bootable USB, I have the link in my signature.
Ya, i actually saw that (shortly after asking) and downloaded it already. There's just no readme file on how to use it, i think i have to use the usb_format.exe first. After that, i have no clue. I'll watch the vid now.

FYI, I had to use that VIA sata card for it to work. My mobo which works fine for drives apparently wasn't good for the hard drive.
And it really is simple, the process once you are set takes a minute.

I have to use a sata card? I can't just use an enclosure?

common guys, i've been waiting for more then a day for someone to give me an answer. Will any enclosure work for this or will I have to get something specific? I don't want to open my computer, so if an enclosure won't work, can you suggest something that will that won't need me to open my computer?
