I am having problems with burning a game i downloaded from xboxiso.com. When i download the file it comes in numerous .RAR files which i unrar and get an .iso and .dvd
Im not sure which on i have to burn. i've tried buring the .iso and it didn't work (gives me the "Open Tray"). I've tried burning the .dvd but it gives me the same probablem. then I tried using the wave 3 patch but still no luck.
My xbox is modded because i have games someone gave me that work.
Help Please.
Thanks,

download Imageburn and install it, double click the .dvd file and imageburn should start up and set it'self up for a proper burn. make sure you are using Dual Layer DVDs

Have you made sure to set the correct leadout? It doesn't really matter which .iso or .dvd you pick because one leads to the other. I typically choose the .dvd file if using imgburn but use .dvd file for anything else. Also you could just have crappy dL discs. I have verbatim and those always work. Also check the .pfi and .dmi and media files to see if they pass. I don't know if you already know this...but I thought I would put it up anyway.

Oh wait...I think I just now figured it out...I am at work and have to wait until I get home to test it. It looks like ABGx360 is what I am looking for. I will re-post if this does not solve the problem so someone might still be able to help me.

hey guys thanks for the replies.
I do have abgx and tested the file and it came out fine. I'm using DVD +R DL Memorex dvds. I've heard it doesn't matter what disc but ill try vertatims when i get the chance.
anyway, I've tried using imgburn but always get an error on the finalization and I've tried clonecd and burned fine the first time but never worked, thats when i just burnt the .iso, so i tried the .dvd and it never worked. I've also tried patching the game because it is wave 3, (the person that sold me the 360 said it was ver 1.61) just to make sure but it didn't work.
So now im at a loss here. I've download another game because the one im trying might be corrupt or something and its a wave 2 game.
Unfortunately i can't try it because my 360 isn't where i am.
But anyway if you have any more advice please let me know. Ill pick up some verbatim dvds and try them also when i can.
thanks,

Verbatims should solve the problem. There is a deal on newegg for 20 verbs for $23.

You need to update your iXtreme to 1.6.

I always thought that it did matter which file you picked between the .dvd and .iso. The .dvd stores the layer break, which is obviously important. If you choose the .iso, you have to set the layer break in ImgBurn at 1913760.
But get some Verbatims! This is probably the root of the problem here!

I believe IMGBurn recognizes if you select the ISO and will choose the .DVD for you.

So as long as the .dvd is in the same folder, you should be fine??
I'd rather just be totally sure. I have yet to have a coaster or a disc read error from choosing the .dvd, so I don't see any reason to change.
