I get this whenever I start up Xbox Backup Creator with a disc in it so I'm guessing it might be the disc or something is wrong with Xbox Backup Creator. It is v2.9 Build 0306 by Redline99

Action: Read DMI Sector
Sense Error: 5 / 24 / 00
INVALID FIELD IN CDB
CDB: READ DVD STRUCTURE

There's no editing or atleast I don't see an edit button so sorry for double post.

It's not because of the type of disc because I am using Verbatim and when I do click OK to continue I get the regular interface and it says its Verbatim produced by MKM. I can still create discs I am just wondering if this would affect its stealth so Microsoft does not ban.

Have you tried starting it up without a disc?

And have you always had this problem?

Without Disc it has no error except for NOT IsDriveBurner:X because those don't burn. And if I start it up first and put the disc I get no error anywhere no pop up nor any in the log. I think it started after upgrading to v2.9 from v2.8 I am just wondering if this would cause problems with stealth or how the disc plays. Cause DMI is important for stealth no?

Yes it's important.
Try going back to 2.8 and see if that helps. If you can, post the log here so it's easier to figure out what's going on.

There's no actual thing in the log its just a pop up. When using v2.8 nothing shows up and it starts normally. When using 2.9 that pops up I click OK then it starts up normally.

I'd go back to 2.8 just for the hell of it.
you can also check the dvd using abgx to see if there are no crc errors or any errors of any kind.

But it looks fine to me.

I am no expert about ripping, but the error seems to be indicating one of three things to me:

It's a read error. The drive was not able to read the 0xAD sector of the disc for some reason.
1.) Disc itself is scratched or otherwise made unreadable
2.) Drive is not able to read disc due to inherent crappiness
3.) Drive is not able to read disc due to copy protection/etc

So what drive are you using to rip and what firmware is on it?

I've always got that message when I start up XBC 2.9 with a DL in there. Are you not able to continue?

What drive are you trying to rip with?

That's good to hear I thought I was only one. It continues fine. It just worries me it says something wrong with DMI and that might cause the chances of getting banned to be higher.

I believe with 2.9 it tries to scan any discs (looking for 360 games).
