I have a GDR-3120L Rom Ver 47DJ with no Mods and the PCB is bad couple of the transistors are fried. My question is If a find and buy a GDR-3120L with Rom Ver 47DJ do I still have to flash it?

Yes. The firmware is stored on the PCB and the drive key must match.

If you don't have the key backed up, the only way you can get the drive key is by taking the chip off the board and reading it directly from a chip reader connected to a PC. That is assuming the chip survived.

if the pcb has transistors burned, try to fix it so it will work for at least 10 minutes then extract the key.....

You're welcome, portarock.

zoom is right, too. You could attempt to repair the damaged parts of the PCB and fix it for long enough to get the drive key, then put that key onto another drive. That is pretty intricate stuff, though.

It may look like a better and better option depending on how easily you can find a place that provides the service you need.

Then again, you could always buy your own chip reader and read the drive key directly off the chip, as well.

Do you know where I can find one that I would need.
Card Reader.

And which chip do I read?
