Hi all another daft query from the stupidest members of after dawn. I have Twilight Hack, 3.4 firmware, homebrew channel already installed along with cIOS Installer and Wainkoko's pack plus USB loader 1.5.
I have WBFS Manager installed on Windows Vista and have formatted my Iomega 1TB (new) hard drive via the computer. (Tesco £69!)
Everything seems fine and then I go into USB Loader (its on channel) and it says Select WBFS device: USB Mass Storage Device.
It says then Mounting device, please wait and then Retry-On-Fail USB counts from 1 to 10 then a new page comes up Exception (DSI) occurred! at top and a load of code including STACK DUMP and CODE DUMP (??)
Am I missing something? My hubby says I need cIOS36_rev9 and I have downloaded an installation for it. but now am (a) clueless as to where to put it (root of SDcard?) and (b) frightened of breaking the kids Wii. Hubby has already done in 3 XBox 360s and now startin on th flippin Wii - tries these things that "are sooooo simple I saw a kid do it on You Tube" and then I have to try and hack something. Sorry am so fed up been at this all nite and hubby v close to being an ex hubby, an ex-person if truth be told.
I am clueless at the best of times about these things and people have helped me lots on here so I will say thanks in advance and I promise I won't let him attempt any more hacking!!
BTW anyone wants to know how to dismantle a DS I can tell you how to do that!!!

USB loader can only support up to 500 gig, so you need to partition the HDD into 2 or more. Make sure that the first partition is fat32 if you plan to used the HDD to store any emulator games, movies or music.
there must be versions of the usb loader that support more than 500gb? i am currently using a maxtor 640 gb drive, and when in usb loader it shows i have more than 500gb currently free. perhaps the version being used isnt up to date?
-- edit : i am also using usb loader gx, but no partitions on the drive, just formatted thru wbfs.
I agree to different versions, firstly my first partition of 490 was NTFS that I converted to WBFS and my FAT32 section for video etc was and still is the second partition.
Both these conflict with what was said in this thread.
Mine is a 640 also but I really needed the video space.
I use USB loader GX btw, maybe different loaders act differently.
