Hey guys I have a modded xbox 360 that has never been connected to Live. My friend brought his hdd to my house and put it on my xbox and it updated my dashboard to the NXE. The question I had is can I play burnt divx files off of a dvd in my xbox 360?
I know others have been able to connect to Live and download the codecs, the problem is I have a modded xbox and once i connect it will probably send microsoft information about my unstealthed games and thus get banned. I actually dont care about being banned because i never use Live either ways I just want to be able to download the codecs.
So, having a modded xbox which would prob get banned once its connected to internet, would I still be able to download the codecs?
you have to be connected to live to play divx,,and you will not get banned unless you play a cheap game on a cheap media,,or you want to be banned,,cheers,,

That update only works on pre-NXE consoles, so no use for him.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
Just go online once with the console and play a divx file. You'll get told that you need an update and if you want to download it. Klick accept, let it download and you don't have to go online with the console again to play divx.
@brandonba: When you got that update before you got the NXE dash the update still works. But with NXE dash you can't install it anymore.

Thanks Eisherz, I was trying to find the update on Microsoft Website but was unable to find it. I guess I will have to go online on the console to get the update. Thanks again for your help :)
