iXtreme Ver. Help?

I'm quite new to this whole modding of xboxs thing and I was wondering how you check what version your iXtreme is as I did not personally flash my own xbox360.
sorry if this was posted somewhere, i couldn't seem to find it with the searchbar.
also, are verbs and memorex discs that much different for backing up games?

You will need to dump the firmware to be for sure.
Buy the Verbatim discs.

Do you know a date as to when you had it modded. I could probably tell you what firmware it was by the date. If it plays any game that was made after March 09 it is either iXtreme 1.51 or 1.6.
What type of DVD drive do you have?
Dumping the firmware means connecting the DVD drive to your computer and reading the firmware. From there Jungle Flasher will tell you what firmware you have.

We want to help man, but you have to do some research. If you don't, the things we tell you just won't make any sense. Read up on the flashing process, understand it, and then you'll have a good background, can ask better questions, and understand responses better.

Or unstealth on a Samsung drive.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

True.
But in most cases people who mod for others will use iXtreme as they don't want to advertise they are flashing unstealthed firmware and that the firmware they flash is compatible with XBOX Live.

Thanks for all the replies guys
@leerage I got it modded somewhere near the dates of either May 9th - May 12th of 2009. (Hope you can figure out) And btw, what is the latest firmware? As for the playing a game after March I really don't know as I got it modded but never really tested it out to see if it could run back-upped games <-- didn't have the materials that were needed.
P.s. I have done lots of research but not particular into flashing the Xbox myself, sorry for my lack of knowledge then I guess.

iXtreme 1.6 was released on May 15th 2009 so I betting it has iXtreme 1.51 on it.
What type of DVD drive is it?

Ok, first time taking off the face plate lol. The wire was white; so I believe my drive would be a BenQ

So it is a BenQ. I'm betting it has got iXtreme 1.51 firmware on it. Even if Microsoft does come out with a Wave 4, iXtreme 1.51 will play it.

I just finished burning it, "The Orangebox" tried playing it = Works, but haven't tried online yet. (Sort of scared)

I backed up my Wolfenstein and it worked like a charm, Multiplayer and Achievements.
