Right, I understand the techincal malarky, and what you are all saying, but have no experience in actually opening up and modding my own 360, friends have done it all for me.
I have recently been experience the Beep then Crash/Lock Up/Freeze problem, and am expecting the RRoD within the next day or so. I can barely get off the dash board now without the 360 crashing.
It's well ventelated, the power supply is ventalated, the only mods the 360 has are a 100% up to date flash and that's all.
is there anything I can teach my self to do in order to fix it, or shall I just keep wearing it down until it red rings and then get a new 360?

Call up Microsoft and say it has RRoD. You'll get it replaced for free. That is if you haven't voided the warranty and it is still in the 3 year extended warranty.

It's flashed, so that silver seal thing has been broken. And I'm pretty sure it maybe out of warranty.

If you (or your friends) have done a decent enough job taking it apart, you could buy a warranty sticker from ebay
