I bought a broken 360 (E73)off of Craigslist that is still under warranty, bad thing is the seal was broken. (I know E73 not covered, but I'll try to claim RROD). The seal it had was the silver seal with "Microsoft" on it. I can replace it w/ the paper square seal, but my question is...

Does M$ pay attention to what type of seal is on the console? The square seal I have has a black dot on it. Do paper stickers have a significance vs silver seals?

silver without dot - old warranty sticker...brand new
silver with dots - old warranty sticker...refurb
paper sticker without dot - new warranty sticker.. brand new
paper sticker with dot - new warranty sticker... refurb

As for m$, i sent one back before that was not the right sticker... paper instead of the silver one but you can never be too sure.

I'd be surprised if they care/notice. I sent a box in with a broken seal and they fixed it.
