I want to encode a divx movie to mpeg with TMPge 2 burn it on a vcd. the whole movie gets encoded but during the proces i get an error message in TMPge at about 30%-35%.
The whole movie is encoded but there's no sound in the new file.

can u plz help me and tel me what the hell im doing wrong.
ive tried like 5 different divx movies and all of them result in the same > no sound
The picture quality is extremely good by the way.

BTW keep up the good work

Try open the file in VirtualDub.

Click video - direct stream copy.
Click Audio - Full Processing Mode
Click Audio again - Compression and select either no compression or a blank space.
Click Ok.

Now click file - save avi. Save it wherever you want and then try encode it in TMPGEnc.

The problem may have been that you divx's audio was compressed in some way.

Ye, it should be as easy as using the TMPGEnc wizard to create your vcd/svcd.

However, SVCD is relitively new! So if you have a dvd player for a long enogh time, chances are it might only support vcd.

It could also be the other way around and only play svcd's. Well I guess these problems will be solved when the divx players hit the stores.
