any one know if it's possible to check them to see what kernel revision or "$system update"is on what disk? i was considering picking up the new batman game but i only have one box, and i wanted to know what update was on the disk before i put it in my 360 to play so i can know if the new jtag hack will work after i update on the disk or not.. any help would be appreciated.

I don't think they are putting the new August 12th update on disc yet. I don't know a way of checking though. When MS did NXE, it was about 4 months before they started putting NXE on disc. I'm guessing we will see a new "Wave" when they put the August 12th update on disc.

I would agree, that it is most likely not the newest update. It should still be the NXE on the disc.

I updated to the August 12th update before playing Batman.

as did I. If it was a different update, there would be a different wave. Microsoft hasn't hidden changes in games in the past (evident by the wave changes), so why would they now? It'll be only the NXE on the disc.

I played batman before updating. Nothing happened, there don´t seem to be any update on the batman disk.
