The Canadian mobile phone carrier Bell Canada has announced today they have become the second provider in the world to offer the Palm Pre smartphone. Until today, the phone had only been available via Sprint in the United States, and was launched two months ago. Canada's cell phone providers are a rip-off and have mostly old style phones

When you have a similarly sized country, but only 1/10th the population of the states, you dont have a choice. American service providers get 10x the revenue from their clients, so they can afford to have way better plans.
