I have done the firmware softmod and I am running 'backup' games through NeoGammaR6, after following the wii softmod guide (have not yet run the run backup disk from disk channel guide)

Can I only use PAL games on my Wii or can I also play backups of NTSC games? Is there anything else I need to do?

you are able to run backups of any regional game as long as you brick blocked that region that isnt your region. For example i am running a 4.0U wii and any pal game i get i brick block it so it doesnt have the updates for that game.

you just need to do the same for ntsc games and japanese games. Otherwise you can wii scrub the game and remove the update yourself. Either way is fine.

google a program called brick blocker or wii scrubber. With brick blocker you can just brick block the updates for the other regions. As for wii scrubber you have to sift through the files and loook for the update partition and remove it from the iso which is a little tougher but there are tutorials on google.
