So I got my BenQ and with a smile on my face I flashed it with my firmware jungle flasher said "flash OK!". Happy and giddy I put in halo 3 (retail copy) in hit start solo campaign. It loaded fast and smooth but right before I would be killing some shite it said the "this disc is dirty" message.. I put Skate 2 in also retail and it loaded fine but when I started playing there was a major display problem(Huge blocks everywhere in the game)..
I tried installing H3 to HD and it says the same "this disc is dirty" message lol..
I really dont know what to do this happens if the HD is installed or not. Im thinking its a software problem but I dont know where to even start looking.
Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? Could it be a firmware problem?

well its not a software/firmware problem as it would either play games or not play games. its not a media problem since you are using originals. so that just leaves a drive issue. perhaps the drive isnt new like the seller stated it was? or it needs the POT adjustment.
Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME
ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.

Are you using 1.6? When I had a BenQ, I upgraded from 1.51 to 1.6 I had the exact same problem. I erased 1.6 and put 1.51 back and I tried the exact same discs that I was having troubles with, and there were no problems.

I dont think its a Pot cal only because the last drive I had to calibrate it loaded halo insanely slow.

Ok well I flashed it with 1.51 still not loading games. There is one more thing. This xbox has had the RRoD fix and after looking at the bottom I noticed that 2 of the torx screws where screwed in side ways.
Could this be an issue? Has the RRoD caused display problems for any of you after you repaired it?

If you can confirm the backup games work properly in other flashed consoles, then that leaves the issue with the BenQ. If the games have the same issue in other consoles, I'd say it is your burner having an issue.
