Your monitor might have an HDMI input, where you would probably have audio. Or, you could get something to plug the RCA cables into so you could hear

I don't think many (if any) computer motherboards come with Composite In (yellow video, red/white audio), Component In (red/blue/green video, red/white audio), or even HDMI In (HDMI video/audio).
Computer MONITORS, on the other hand, may come with HDMI In, so if you're playing using HDMI cables, you can simply plug the HDMI cable into the monitor.
If you're using Composite (red + white + yellow) or Component (red + green + blue) cables, though, there are also many adapters to go from those to VGA, DVI, etc., whatever your computer will accept.
Plugging it into the computer's motherboard won't do you much good, though, because the input will be processed by the computer itself, not the monitor.
It'd be like hooking up a DVD player to a VHS player to your TV.
So make sure that whatever you do, you plug straight from your PS3 (to the adapter) to your computer monitor.
Hope that helps.

You can connect it to the screen easily, but the picture will be slightly stretched verticaly 11% on most screens. The screen must also be HDCP compliant or it won't work. There is no legal way to connect the PS3 into a computer with digital (HDMI) connections thanks to the DMCA...the cards existed about 2 years ago, but I think all the makers have been shut down, and they are illigal to sell or ship anywhere where the DMCA was signed, even if the card is used.

It transforms any display into a HDCP compliant device. with no loss of video or you could use a VGA box.
