Does the ps3 slim have a new blu ray drive?
Hoping it is a new and more reliable blu ray drive if it is a new one. All I can find on google is that some of the load times are slower but that does not matter if it is a better drive.

wat you mean more reliable, the ps3 bd drive is already reliable unless you are talking about the 60, but everything f**ked up in that model, yes they do have a different drive, they needed a smaller one to fit in the slim.

Yup...whenever sony releases something new, it is f**ked up for the first few releases. I would be suprised if the new BD drive was as reliable as the old 80GB BD drive...sony isn't known for making quality optical drives in the first place.

I just saw the 80GB model for sale at the grocery store here for $250 plus tax. I may have got it if I had known it had a better blu ray drive than the older models.
