Connecting laptop to PS3

Hi guys,

I'm wondering how do you connect your laptop to your PS3? I've done alot of searching but getting so many different answers.

Basically I want to connect my Laptop to my Ps3 to view my files. I have no internet access where I want to do this, my laptop and Ps3 both have wireless adapters and my laptop is running on Vista.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You dont need to be connected to the internet.
Get yourself a wireless router an set up a media server on the laptop, configure both to connect, the ps3 should see the media server and your done.

You could always use a CAT5 crossover cable if money is a concern.

Its just a fancy word for ethernet cable.
