No audio when streaming m2ts to PS3

I've searched the forums already and followed the instructions as stated in the MKV to PS3 guide on afterdawn but I cannot seem to figure this out.

Using tsMuxer I remux the MKV file into an m2ts file using the settings recommended in the guide. It works perfectly, playing it on my computer works fine (even after renaming it to m2t so tversity can detect it), but when I stream it to the PS3 it has perfect video quality but lacks any audio. I tried this with a couple video files to make sure it wasn't just the one video and the problem persists.

I also tried changing the audio output on the PS3 to see if it simply wasn't working with the digital optical out and that had no effect as well. Anyone have any idea why sound would work when playing on my PC but not through streaming?

Something that might matter that I just realized, when I first reinstalled ffdshow with tversity a popup appeared when I opened Songbird (my music player) asking about a conflict between Songbird and FFDshow and I might have checked off something telling it not to use ffdshow for unknown programs. Audio plays when using VLC player, but there is no audio when I use windows media player which I assume is part of the problem as VLC's codecs are all contained within it. Can anyone help me get this sorted out?

I actually just got sound working in windows media player, but still nothing when streaming. I've tried everything I can think of, any help would be greatly appreciated.
