Not my words
Dont worry its not bricked.
You simply havnt power cycled after your drive erase!
I recomend using dosflash16 1.7 mind! Easier then l-o-erase.exe
Get 1.7
Boot into DOS with drive turned off.
Turn it on and type dosflash. It should list (probly as unknown flash chip).
If nothin appears turn drive off and back on quicly (aka power cycle).
Select your device and run liteon e
It will say erasing.. then erased ok! After erased ok. Power cycle again.
Again, type dosflash select your device and then type w for write.

When you say freeze, I assume you are using the VIA SATA card:
You will need to remove the driver first:
1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.
Once that is complete, connect your Lite-ON drive back to the same SATA port and power it on. It shouldn't freeze anymore. Start up JF and go to the MTKFlash tab. Make sure you are still on the same SATA port you were using before. Go ahead and click Lite-ON erase again and power cycle when prompted. If using the XBOX 360 to power the drive, pull out the dvd power cable and plug it back in within 1 second. You should gain access to the flash chip and you can now write the firmware.
ok decodem i tried dosflash 1.7. it scans for atpi devices and it shows up as device number 6 unknown would i like to resend the mtk flash etc if i answer y it shows 0x80 if i power cycle it it changes to 0x00 and then back to 0x80 wont go to 0x72. if i answer no it gives me the options to read write erase etc. i type in liteon e and it comes up erasing, erasing finished. then i power cycle the drive type in dosflash w for write and it comes up unknown chip. i have tried for 4 hours and cant get this ball of cr*p into 0x72 mode i think i ve really messed it up as i said it will only change from 0x80 to 0x00 not 0x72. leerage i am using via 6421 and ck3 pro with spear.

While since it says it is erased is it still unresponsive? If it just doesn't want to do it in dos. Try using JungleFlasher if it is responding, there is lots of tutorials on the web , also do a google search that may help.
