ok be gentle, noobie here. I have version 4.1U firmware and i followed this guide to softmod http://my.afterdawn.com/larrylje_redwings/blog_entry.cfm/3809.

however i came accross this issue as did someone else it seems on that page.

When I select IOS35 my wiimote freezes and loses sync. I am unable to select A to continue. However if I select other choices such as IOS36, the wiimote is fine and lets me continue. I know it is not batteries since I have brand new ones in, and it works fine all of the time.

worked a treat, i have installed bootmii as boot2 which works perfectly.......then installed dvd dump which seems ok(yet to burn dump of ashes 2009), when i put the original disk of ashes 2009 in it asks for system upgrade. so i looked on here and saw preloader 29 mentioned and downloaded it but when i try to install i get this....

Failed to get ROOT current IOS has the fakesign bug fixed.

now im flummoxed as i need it to skip update check, so please help any guides would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to fall at the last hurdle. can someone please post a guide to get round this, or message me, or tell me if there is another way of getting round the update
