Hi, I've just loaded a 16GB SD card with some games. They appear on the list when entering the USB/SD Loader.

The card is formatted correctly with WBFS Manager.

When I select a game to play I get a flash of a green screen then it goes black and that's as far as it gets. No games will load.

They do work however via the backup launcher when on a DVD.

Any ideas why they won't run from the SD card?

Thanks

Ok, bit more info....

I get the message

An error has occured.
Press the eject button, romve the game disc and turn power off.
Read the Wii operation manual for more information.

I've just been on homebrew and this is up to date.

I'm sure i'm up to date with everything but how do I check this?

CMIOS & CIOS etc....? What about bootmii? Will this help?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

One final thing....My system firmware is at 3.1E

I'm thinking it doesn't support sdhc so how do I upgrade to 4.1?

I've read the tutorials but not sure it makes much sense.

One bit says update via Nintendo as usual but i've never updated so how do I update firmware?

Thanks

The update option is in Wii Settings.

Go to my 4.1 FIRMWARE SOFTMOD GUIDE that is in my sig.

Download and extract the 4.1 SOFTMOD PACK to the SD Card (do not worry about bannerbomb or hackmii files since you already got HBC installed).

Then follow the steps in the order I provide below.

cIOS38_rev14:

Update to 4.1 firmware using the option in Wii Settings.

IOS DOWNGRADER:

IOS60Patched and NeoGamma R6: (If the Backup Launcher you use now is not NeoGamma R6 then I would suggest uninstalling your old loader and install NeoGamma R6).

Game Cube Support: (if you had GC supposrt you need to run cMIOS again because 4.1 overwrites it).

Sorry if I sound thick but I'm usually on the ball with these things but can't get my head around the update procedure.

Do I use system update in the Wii settings?

I've copied the softmod update 4.1 folders onto an SD card but then what do I do?

Would appreciate some extra explanations on how to upgrade so I can do this without messing my Wii up.

Thanks

Is there any other update option in the Wii settings menu?

As for the rest just follow the sections I have in my above post in the order I posted them. I don't know how to be any more clear then that.

Hi again,

No, the only available update on the menu is a system update, there's no where to do a 4.1 firmware update.

Any ideas?

The 4.1 update is the latest one from Ninty, if you do the WII SYSTEM UPDATE from your Wii Settings menu, it will update to the latest wii firmware, which as i said, is 4.1. Just ensure you have a reliable wi-fi internet connection, and click the button... I did it last night from 3.2 to 4.1 and it too about 4 minutes, start to finish.

Take a deep breath, and click the button!

(*) My backups are LEGALLY MADE COPIES of games I already own, I have got 3 Sticky fingered children, each with their own Wii in their room, so the backups are made of the originals, and the originals stored in the loft incase of scratching, fingerprints or other miscellaneous damage. I own a RETAIL COPY of all backups that I make. I DO NOT CONDONE PIRACY!

Yep, thanks....updated to 4.1e (Phew!!!)

I now have all files installed and now using NeoGammer R6 but.......I search for games on SD, takes about 15 tries and when I select a game from the SD card in the list in Neo I get the message "Game Loading Lost connection with wbfs"

Any ideas?

Ok, I've sort of sorted the SD card problem. I've got a USB adaptor and placed the SD card in this and the games work fine.

One problem I do have though.....the games I have on backup DVD's don't work via NeoGammer V6.

Does anybody know why this might be? Are there any special settings?

I think I will probably put these onto my SD card but didn't want to waste space if I already had the game on a DVD backup that used to work.
