Overall hours of use for a 360

I'm not sure if I am dreaming or have gone insane but I'm sure there is a way to check exactly how many hours your xbox 360 has been turned on since day one. Is there a way through the dashboard or am I thinking of a different console altogether?

If there is such a feature, I've never heard of it. I don't think one exists for the 360, and I can't think of any other system that would have that.
I know that you can do something like that for your PC, but that's about it.

If they had one for the PS3, mine would be way up there on the charts. I use it mostly for streaming media, but usually I fall asleep when it's playing.
Thankfully they got the auto-off feature...

Now that I think of it, it was the wii with this feature but I can't verify it cause I sold mine. Can some verify this?
The reason I wanted to know with the xbox was because it would be interesting to see how many hours of gaming it takes to cause rrod issues and stuff. I don't think I've seen stats on the average number of hours of gaming it takes to rrod.
But it would be kinda depressing if I looked at how many hours of my life I have wasted on it playing games that I will never be able to get back ever. When I look through the games library on the 360 i see the massive list of titles I've played and feel depressed but then I load up another game and keep playing. It makes you feel like a drug addict.

I don't think playing the system so much would eventually cause it to get the RRoD. It would get it, if you had the system on 24/7, cause eventually it's gonna overheat.
And now that I think about it, I do recall the Wii having somewhat of that feature. You could look at the calendar to see what days you played, and at what time you played what.
Though I also sold my Wii, just didn't like it a whole lot!

If you think 360 hours are bad you should just ask someone there world of warcraft /played.
over 90 days before i quit. and that was on my main and that was not bad compared to most.

haha yeah. Looking at the total hours you didn't play your wii. I think mine was less than 25 hours when I sold it. I imagine my 360 would be at least 500 hours but probably a lot more.
Yeah your right about MMORPGS like WOW. I am so glad I didn't get into that game and spend 2160 hours on it. The thought of running around slaying wolves for the 2xp so I could get the bigger stuff got boring. That and well I don't like sitting in front of PC for long. I like my couch and my 5.1 sound system and holding a controller. I know you can get lap boards for key boards and mouse and plug the PC into the TV and 5.1 system but meh.

I play on my GF's Wii quite a lot(no jokes please :-) ) but only on 2 games.
Mario Kart and Sports/Sports Resort. Love them

both of the 360s i've had were left on for days on end. neither have ever received RROD. only got rid of the first one due to being banned on it.
