Just want to double check if this HD I'm going to buy will work.
250GB
WD2500BEVT

I've been reading and it says you have to have a BEVS series WD. Just making sure this one will work since it's a BEVT. Not sure if by BEVS series they also include BEVT

Why not wait for the new HDDSS.bin file to come out?

WJ99 is correct. You will need to wait for the HDDSS.bin to be dumped of this new hard drive. But as of right now, nothing else has been said of the 250GB hard drive. So you might want to wait before you purchase anything for it to pan out.

Yeah, I've seen pictures of the "Super Elite" handling up to 250gb, but still no word from MS about it. Could be just another photoshop'd ad, so I would wait just a little longer if I were you..

Yeah true, might as well wait and see what they do with these 250GB that are supposedly coming out. I just wanted to jump the gun and get a 250 and use it as a 120 for now. Will wait around for now. Thanks

What about LiquidKil's question of "BEVT as opposed to BEVS? I'd like to know this, myself.

It works as long as you are using the most recent version of HDDhackr.

I'm rubbing my hands together so much for this HDD.
My 20GB is a pain. I always play off HDD and have to delete and change the games every so often

Leerage. Do you buy just a shell, or a faulty HDD with the e68?

Well my plan is to drop in one of those 250BG hdd drives if they come out in the next couple of months. I can't stick a grey hdd on there that says HDD because it won't match my Elite. Can't put a MS official black one on there because it would say 120GB.. lol.. so that is why I got that one.
