I can say I've had quite good luck with their stuff (I bought a few HDDs and a couple ODDs over the course of 2yrs to a few months ago), and am pleased thus far. I'm waiting patiently to get my hands on a Samsung 2tb internal.

That is good luck...very good luck. I used to have a raid-5 with 4 samsungs...then one died and it became a raid5 with 3 drives, then another died and it became a RAID1 with two drives, then another failed and it became one drive for temp files...then the last drive failed. This all happened in about a year, and the other drives that were there when I installed the Samsungs are still working today. I think I would trust RAM to do long-term storage before I trusted a Samsung.

Man i cant believe we will see 3TB drives shortly. Better double dip on these..i cant imagine how horrifying to drop one of these puppies during a move and lost that much data. Always have a backup drive. Put it on a shelf somewhere for the inevitable.

I have had 8 F1, 8 time 1TB, running 24/7 now for over one year (I think about 1.5 years). I had one drive broken and replaced in the meantime, which was no problem since I run in RAID6 mode.

I hope 2TB drives will appear soon, the upgrade from 1 to 1.5 is too little to justify buying 8 new drives.
