I'm working on a relative's Wii, the only problem is, I can't get preloader installed. I've already upgraded from the homebrew channel to 4.0 for the system firmware, but ran into some minor problems, so I tried to downgrade to 3.2. Well turns out AnyRegion Changer 1.5M just up and said so, and when I tried AnyRegion Changer 1.2, things didn't improve any. Also, when fooling with the IOS downgrader, and one other file I can't think of, it just boots me back to the health warning screen.
Thinking it was one of those Wiis that has a lot of the exploits plugged up I checked the serial which turned out to be be LU59. Since this is no where near the LU64's I'm at a loss as to what could be causing the problem. Also, speaking of homebrew, when I access the card that has the banner bomber exploit it just freezes up. I thought of uninstalling the hombrew channel, and then reinstalling it, but something tells me the way the system is acting if I did that I might not ever be able to get homebrew installed again.
Nah...just because I had a run of bad luck in reading the guide I was following. I went with the default for installing the wads (IOS 36) because the guide I was using didn't say in what IOS to install them in. Then, latter, I double-checked, realized that it did mention what wad to install it in (IOS 35). As soon as I figured that out everything ran smoothly. So, the lesson to learn here is, make sure you read directions better when doing something. Just because you can't find it when searching for it may mean you are somehow overlooking it.
