I have a 3.2U NTSC wii modded with the first version the the wiikey. I want to play Punch Out and I have two burnt DVD-R'S. One's update was removed via the WiiBrickBlocker but it gives me a black screen. The other was with the update (To 4.0 I think)
Now here's my question if I update to 4.0 will I be able to play Punch Out?
Also, what will not work? Trucha signed discs (I dont even know what that is) or some IOS mods?Is bootmii possible if I did installed it at 3.2?
And saw on a website that the only way to make USB 2.0's compatible with homebrew is with something called the "fake signing Bug". My Wii was bought in December 2006 so would it work.

Thanks a lot Larrylje. I have a question though. I want to back up my 3.2 NAND before doing this stuff.I have a 256 MB Sandisk SD card which boots bootmii before normal booting but my Lexar 2GB card has the same files but doesnt boot bootmii on normal boots.
And the only other SD card is a micro with an adapter Crucial 4GB,but 3.2 isnt SDHC compatible, right?
By the way,I already had The Homebrew Channel installed so I am on step 2 I guess.

i also have a lexar 2gb sd card that will not load bootmii. Other cards load bootmii fine but not that lexar card i have. Must be something with the card. Dont sweat it. Just get a different card. PNY and kingston worked fine for me. The kingston was a micro sd card in a sd card holder and it loaded bootmii ok.
not sure about the sdhc issue with 3.2u but i say try it out. If it works great. If not you will know right away since the card won't be compatible and shouldn't be read.

I have done everything and NTSC Punch Out works. I don't have the link now, but another wiikey user couldn't get Metroid Prime Trilogy to work so he installed the neogamma and I did too.
For Mplayer CE, I wanted to the USB 2.0 compatibility but it said that IOS 36 cannot be patched because it has the Trucha bug(But I thought the IOS downgrader should fix that...)
It also said to try IOS 60 but I have brick fears and don't know if should move on (I have a backup of my NAND 3.2 and 4.1).Besides, if one IOS doesnt work, why should the other...
I thanks a lot for your help so far, there arent much informative and considerate users like you.

I have never used Mplayer CE but if IOS36 needs to be patched then do the below steps...
Go to my 4.1 softmod guide in my link.
Download the Softmod pack.
Now transfer the IOS-DOP folder (included in the Softmod Pack) to the apps folder on your SD Card.
Now run IOS-DOP from the Homebrew Channel.
Go to IOS36
Now press A to install latest revision.
Press A to patch signature hash check.
Press A to patch ES_Identify function.
After it is done exit IOS-DOP.
Now IOS36 should be patched so try Mplayer CE again.

Ok I did the IOS dop and it downloaded all 15 of the packets but what do I do now? It didn't boot to the homebrew channel or something like that....
It downloaded all the contents and says "Done" nexts to each.
But on the 15 out of 15 its just froze there..
Is my wii bricked???

Ok, I fixed that problem by holding down the power button on the wii.
But MPlayer CE still gives me the "Trucha Bug is not enabled error".
I also tried IOS 60, but that gives me the same error.
