Wii only playing some backups?

I have had my wii modded for 2 years now and have never had an issue with backups playing until today. I did have firmware 3.3U and tried downgrading to 3.2U to fix the problem, but no go. It's odd too because COD: W@W works perfectly, Resident Evil 4, Excite truck, and Mad World work. Mario Kart and a bunch of other do not; GH Metallica, Rockband 2. I have a wiikey V1 with 1.9g. Original games do work on the system though. Some of the backups load all the way to the main menu, and the disc read error appears. Other just spin and spin and the wii will not recognize the disc.

Some of those games require an update to the Wii.

Mario Kart for sure, GH and Rockbank probably.

I have run all of the "problem" backups that you list without problem.

I am running a Wiikey 1 with 1.9s and my Wii is at 4.0u

I blocked the updates on them though. I never had a problem with them playing before.Will the wii not recognize them anymore if my system is not updated to the latest version. Should I just update my system to the newest firmware?

if those game works before then which DVD blank did you used? overtime those cheap DVD causes problem. Also as you have mentioned some of of them still works so its not the Wii update. Are this games trucha signed? If yes them you have to do IOS downdgrade.

I would use DOP-IOS instead of IOS Downgrader.

IOS Downgrader will just downgrade the IOS and if a game disc that has a higher revision needs to be installed it will ask for an update.

DOP-IOS will download and patch the latest revision of the IOS so it shouldn't ask for an update.
