Hey guys, can anyone help?
I'm on the part where you are supposed to click "okay" and then hurry up and unplug the power cord from the dvd drive and plug it back in.
I dont think I did it fast enough, because right when my friend clicked OKay i unplugged it, took about a second, then back in, tool about another...But here's what it showed after I did that:
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0x1250
..............
Drive returned Status 0x0
....
Serial flash found with Status 0x72
Sending Vendor Outro to port 0x1250
Manufacturer ID: 0x90
Device ID: 0x90
Flash Name: Unknown type
Flash Size: n/a
Which means unsuccessful, right?
The dvd trey is fully open, and I can not shut it. The xbox power led is blinking green. I have not closed JF or done anything yet until I find out...what am I supposed to do if I failed that step?
Where do I start from? What do I click?
Just curious, in case it fails on that part again!
And also, it doesnt show the device properties anymore...so is it not reading it?
Bah, any advice would be good; my consoles still on.

Send "Erase lite-on"
Then "write"
Then outro
You can also redo the whole thing if it hasn't been erased, if it has then just remember your port you using and load up your dummy, spoof to target and then write then once it verify s then outro.

Pornzi, thanks so much, it worked.
It took me a couple seconds to unplug it, and a couple to plug it back in, since I did it alone.
Worked =)
Maybe I was too fast at first.
Very amazing guide, as I am a first time modder.
With the exception that I would add a little sidenote about what you should do if the process I failed on, fails. Some n00bz like me might freak out and not understand how to repeat it :X

NEED SOME HELP!!!
I have the liteon 83850c and was following step by step .....
When I clicked the WRITE button my pc hung and now I cant read the drive... can I recover the drive
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Now dont panic to much, you should be fine. After restarting you pc check in device manager that the via driver is uninstalled.
Open Jungle Flasher
Load up your dummy, and it should auto load up your ixtreme firmware then spoof to target.
Go to tab mtk flash 32 again make sure the I/O port is the same as when you tried flashing before. **(even if your drive not showing up use that same port)**
Click "erase lite on"
"Write"
"Outro"
It should work.

hi pornzi
thanks for posting,
I am loading the dummy ok and it auto loads the xtreme
when i go to mtk flash 32 i get this error message when i press Lite-on Erase:
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0x9400
..............
Drive returned Status 0x80
....................
Device Intro failed!
any help?

0x72 Is the status you will get when you can carry on,
Im not to sure what 0x80 is but i havew had that many times and i just keep trying and it was the time when i was un powering and powering drive that was cause try click erase then give it a few seconds then unplug then power

So I have 83850C with July manufacturing date so I should be able to do this.. However, all my attempts to extract the key come to "L083info extraction Failed!" In JF... I have flashed a few other older xbox's without any problems... Heer's where it happens... I have CKPRO kit so I use it to connect the drive to my onboard VIA. One port is used for my IDE drive and one for XBox's dvd.... now, when I go to JF 1.66, DVDKey 32, it shows my Drive Properties just like on the picture you show... then I click on L083info button, it gives me that msg Power On with Drive half-open, so I eject drive, shut off CKpro, half-close the drive manually, power-on the CKpro with drive.... then it tells me to Move drive to Full position... that's where I get that error... right after I press Ok.. i tried to close the drive manually and then use eject button on the CKpro.... Should I close it and then MANUALLY eject the drive? I do see "In Dedication To The Birth of Mackay on February Twelve 2007...." line, and the on last line it ends with .........d.F[<..
What am I doing wrong? please help

is that how your doing it?
or just ejecting then powering off?
You want drive to think its closed, not open

i have a lite on 83850C july 09 i run jungle flasher 1.67 but keep getting extraction failed with all zeros. am following the tutorial beleive im doin everything right. do i have the newer july lite on that cant be flashed yet? just bought the elite a few days ago. i power up using the console, have via chipset deleted the driver and then renabled like tutorial said installed portio. could really use some help am i doing something wrong or do i need to wait for the new firmware from ixtreme for that drive to come out. i eject the drive then pull the power to it and shut it by hand hook the power back up then eject it fully. can you power it down by just unplugging the console itself? I LIVE IN GRANITE CITY ILLINOIS the st.louis area if anyones from around this area maybee u could help me thanks sorry for double post

LO83info extraction Failed!
i do the whole power cycle tray half open and then full tray and been gettin that i also tried to even power the disk drive open it put it halfway and start JF and still get error its done this to 2 of them now and im just tired of it lol i did a 7 series b4 these 2 with no problems and i have done tons of hitachies sammys and benqs also any suggestions

Hello,
After a failed attemp on flashing my 83850C liteon Jul 2009. I just want to inquire to make things clearer. I was able to extract the key and write it but it will not play a back up or orig. It goes to play dvd or place disc in xbox360 screen.
First of all, when I did the extraction I did not install the VIA driver but JF was able to extract the key but it gave me problems on the Liteon Erase part of the tutorial.
After extracting the keys the 83850C was left fully open and I went a head and perform the Liteon Erase but could not get the drive to come up. At this point the drive cannot be closed. So I manually closed the drive by opening it and place it in half-open position. I also installed the drivers that came with the VIA card and removed the files mentioned on the guide.
At this point power cycling the drive is so much easier, it comes up almost all the time. My questions are...
1. After extracting the key the drive is fully open, am I supposed to start Liteon Erase with drive fully open? Or do I close the drive after extracting the key and start from there to do the Liteon Erase?
2. Is my 83850C bricked since I tried writing the firmware many times and it still won't play any backup or the orig? Could it be that my key is invalid or corrupted?
Help me out please, and thanks in advance.

hey pornzi i actually found alot easier way for these and i tried it on my friends 9 series and it worked for it i used a usb flash drive and booted through a setup i found online through xbins.

so why not share? i thought 9 series was undumpable? are they the new drives aug 2009 onwards?
