As for a 12v source.. I'm looking. I will edit back.
I believe you can solder a 3pin header there and it will be a 12v source. You might want to wait for someone else to come along a confirm or give a different method.
I should be able to just cut out the +12v wires from the xbox fans and leave the GND wires in the 4-pin plug, connect that to it's original location, and solder the +12v wires to two of those three points on the board, right?
Btw, the area you pointed out for 12v is correct (I just found this http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=549063). This post talks about a 3-pin header as well, but I don't know how to connect the original xbox fans (both of them) to these three pins. I'd like them to be grounded as well, for safe measure.

I've heard there are two points on an xbox motherboard that can be shorted/bridged to have the fans run at 100% speed at all times. Where is this on the xenon board?
