My PSP won't start

I recently found my soft-modded PSP-1000 which hasn't been used in over 6 months. When I tried activating it - the screen remained black/blank (it doesn't even load the UMD-game disc within). The green power light and orange wireless light both still light up, but there is absolutely nothing on the screen. Moreover when I hold the right trigger button when activating my PSP-1000, the M33 recovery main menu shows up, but nothing seems to work. And another thing - I cannot shut down/reboot my PSP unless I remove the battery.

Is there something specific I shouid do at the M33 recovery main menu?
Is my PSP completely bricked?

Any help or recommendations to restore/repair my PSP-1000 is greatly appreciated.

NOTE: The last time I used it - my PSP-1000 had firmware 3.50.

Hi, i would try the recovery menu to go back to 1.5(PSP/GAME/RECOVERY)

if the psp display would be dead u won`t c the recovery menü

i guess it`s a software problem
