Today i decided to take my old bad flashed hitachi and replace it with a working benq. Well i successfully extracted and read the key from the hitachi and saved the key to my desktop along with the firmware. Btw this is in jungleflasher. After doing so i connected my benq and read it and then manual spoofed it with the key from my hitachi. after that i wrote the flashed firmware to it...everything seemed to go smoothly But when i tested it out with a burned game all i get FOR BOTH ORIGINAL AND BACKED UP GAMES is a "Play DVD" option in the dashboard. Any help?

Are you sure this new benq drive is really "new"? If it is you could try re-flashing it or you can try the pot calibration , or clean the laser with some alcohol. Out of curiosity what card did you use to flash the xbox 360 with?

If it said Play DVD for both original and backup games, you didn't get your dvdkey spoofed to the new drive.

i have the play dvd error on my hitachi but just for my backed up games can ne1 tell me whats wrong.i recently flashed my 0079FK drive...of course i had to use the slax 2.1 and the audio79 unlock cd...I think i successfully flashed my drive using maximus 360 firmware.i found a successfully backed up game, gh5, and downloaded it.when i abx360 it.. it said i successfully stealth patched it.. but osx360 said my iso file had 0 bytes..i still burned the disc anyways using my disc utility and x360 iso hacker but when i put them in my xbox it just says play dvd. When i try to start the game it gets stuck at some huge xbox 360 screen ..any help plz!?!also my box wont work on component any more but will work on av....

ok so i came up with the conclusion that the backup that my friend lent me was invalid because i got another 1 and the play dvd error was not on it...i used memorex so it was not the media and it plays so i didnt flash my box wrong. so maybe the play dvd error comes from invalid isos.

Guys,i had the RROD,and i manually fixed it,but afterwards when i used my game discs i got the "play dvd" error, these games both new and old where tested and worked fine before the RROD,i have a Samsung drive, flashed,i tweaked the POT and got no results.
I am thinking of buying a new-exactly-the-same drive and use my current dvd board with the new dvd hardware, what do you think?

If it's not the drive then it is definitely the burner you are using try reinstalling it's driver.

I Dont Think The Burner Has A Problem, coz many of my copies worked at different xboxes, and mainly mine xbox.can the hybrid (old board-new "hardware") happen without reflashing etc?

While if you put an old board with a new drive in you must have flashed the key of the previous key into the new drive right? You could have a picky drive or dying media I bought one pack of ms that eventually all of them stopped working over time.

I Think Its The Other Way Around, coz the old board already has my key and can work with the same type of drive,i think you have to reflash only if you are using new board, but i am not so sure...
