iXtreme 1.4 / Wave 3 / Online - worries

My console still works flawlessly with iXtreme 1.4. Is it any riskier, meaning detectable, playing a Wave 3 game online with a 1.4 patch for earlier firmware or is stealth - um stealth regardless of the combination?

Unless you alter the game, you cannot play wave 3 games on 1.4.

People who have converted Wave 3 games to Wave 2 so they can play on older firmware, usually get instantly banned

Wow, thanks for letting me know, I haven's done so so far with Wave 3 games. I guess I wont be playing online since I am pretty scared to mod the console myself.
