cant detect hitachi 47 drives

Hi im having problems detecting hitachi 47 drives all other drives are fine it just seems to be the 47 drives. I have 2 of them and when i hook them up to the pc it freezes after a while it un-freezes but no drive is detected in jungle flash. I have also tried useing slax but it just runs through and doesn't detect it either. I have tried it on 2 pc's and played about with it for hours with no joy useing both via chipset and onboard sata ports. Does anyone have any idea to whats up and could help me with this please.

I had to download older version of JK 1.51 to get it to see Ver 047 of Hitachi... try that

Still no joy i seen another way to get hitachis into mode b state . Useing 2 pins and a resister is this method safe or what? do you think its worth a try?

Don't know about that way, but you can always try opening the tray when loading slax, it has worked for me in the past.
