my wii was updated to 4.1 (whatever is the latest update). i have a wiikey in my system. everytime i put in a burned game i get a disc error message. i have tried to update to 1.9s firmware but i keep getting disc error message. my original games still work. what can i do to get burned games to play. please help.

Make sure your Modchip is still properly installed.

If you don't want to bother with trouble shooting the Wiikey issue then you could always softmod the system by following my 4.1 FIRWMARE SOFTMOD GUIDE in my sig.
