to be clear about what i am using i have:
lite-on DG16D2S version 74850c drive
360 xtractor pro with spear, using usb connection also
usb drivers installed
jungleflasher 0.1.66
rosewill rc-212 pci card here windows xp
So heres the deal.. i have been trying to figure out how to flash this drive and i got to the point where i got the key and everything out of the lite-on drive and created and saved the hacked firmware. I have been using the jungleflasher tutorial, which says to remove the via drivers, but when i do i cant find the xbox, so i just tried to do it with the drivers installed. After it sent the lite-on erase command, the pc froze up and i had to restart it. Now, i cant see my drive in jungleflasher at all and whenever i have my drivers installed and i turn on the drive my pc freezes. i have the via drivers deleted but now i try to use JF and it just says "no VIA ports were found" and i have no way of doing anything to the drive. what can i do??
I had this issue the other day, try swapping PCI ports and using a diff sata port on your via card after the drivers are removed. Not sure which one did the trick for me as I did them both at the same time.
will try this but is there a chance im absolutely screwed (like unfixable) because i got the error after i erased the drive, or am i probably gonna be ok bc i got the key and all the info off the drive already
