Need help to unsoftmod wii

I'm new here and yes I did do a search on google and the forums for this.
I have just recently softmodded my wii and for some reason we cant play Rockband (1,2, TPV1, TPV2, AC/DC), Guitar Hero4, or Twilight princess. Instead we need to launch them off of a custom launcher used to launch backups. Note the games im trying to play are not backups.
I havnt really been too more/less interested in my wii now that i'v modded it and I havnt downloaded any homebrew stuff anyway.
I have a modded ipod,psp, and i have a dreamcast... my PS2 mod is on the way. I still need a reason to go to EB games/Game Stop, right?
So basicly I just want my wii back to the way it was when i first opened the box on christmass :P . And being able to update 'n stuff...
There have been some other threads like this but not really answering my question (on is there an unsoftmod), and the people replying say "it shouldnt brick your wii" or "It could brick...". I need a solid answer/guide cause otherwise ill have to buy my bro a new wii :(

Nah, sorry... but Im tagging along ok I guess. I'v backed up some of mah friends games 'n stuff, so im probably not gunna un-softmod my wii.
Although whenever my bro wants to play a game he wants to do it the easy way and launches it from the channel. Then he installs a small update that for some reason only erases DVDx. So every time i wanna play a backup (after my bro plays a non-backup) I have to install DVDx >:|

You should install a USB loader. DVDX is not necessary to play games that way.

Meh, I'd much rather use disks. Just for guaranteeing it will work..
DVDx is needed to play backups of Wii games.

DVDx is not needed to play backup game disc. DVDx is for DVD Movie/Video Play back.
As well a USB Loader would be more reliable then using backup disc.

You are giving information that is false. newbs could read your misinformed information and think otherwise. So that was the reason for the correction.

use bootmii and reinstall your nand that you backed up.
i 'think' that is what you were looking for, no?

when you go through the process of softmoding a Wii, it will give you the option to backup your nand ( which is basically the original structure of your Wii files before you customize them) this way, you can convert your Wii back to it's oringal state..* this of it as having a CFW, then giong reinstalling the OFW (were-as your nand is the ofw)

No you are not.
Original nands are available on the net ;)
Just find someone's nand you can trust.
Anyhow, I don't know if by JUST restoring your nand you are done...
What I can say is that my modded Wii rocks ;)

The wii won't accept a NAND from a different wii because they're stamped with the wii's serial number.

I agree with that.. It would make perfect sense that the nand would have that built in, but im sure its built into the nand when they install it... otherwise they would need different nands for every single wii ever made :P
I could b wrong tho.
and yes i love my softmoded Wii :)

Older versions of Bootmii copied NAND & Serial in one file. The newer versions save the NAND and Serial separately. So if you have both NAND and Serial separately then you could in theory use someone else's NAND. Just use your serial.

I dont think so, downgrading would mean you would.. downgrade.. to a SW ver. that is modded. I could b wrong tho.
