New burnt games won't work!

I used to burn my dvd-dl discs (Verbatim) on my Asus M50VM laptop, and everything worked fine. Then the internal drive started making "flipping" noises when trying to burn a dvd-dl and the burn failed. Normal dvd's burn just fine.

So I bought an external slim burner: Samsung SE-S084B. It burns the dvd-dl's, but when booting a game the xbox360 goes to the dvd-player-mode.

What to do? All the older burnt games work just fine. And I use the exact same settings to burn the dvd-dl's, and I've even tried to change some settings, but nothing seems to work. Could it be that the new Samsung just can't burn dvd-dl's that are compatible with the xbox360..?

if you are still using verbs, sounds like it is your burner. make sure your firmware is up-to-date on it .

I assume your games are all verified also, correct? And what program are you using to burn the games?

Yes, I have the newest firmaware and I'm using ImgBurn.

But I just realized that my XBOX360 firmware is 1.4. This must be the reason why no games from approx. May haven't worked. I must upgrade the firmware of the XBOX360's DVD-drive.
