Hello All. I was reflashing (1.4 to 1.6 )my benq with jungle flasher using a via card. it read the firmware fine and i saved the key and all and then while writing the JF1.66 got stuck at bank zero and that hung up the whole computer i waited for 15 mins for it to move but nogo. I had to restart and behold everything went down the toilet. how i have a drive that wont open up and the power lite is consistently blinking green. and when ever i plug in the drive into my computer in the via card win xp hangs up. I went ahead and deleted the via drivers properly and then tried again no go the system wont recognize the drive tried iprep and dosflash none can recognize the drive. after reading many posts i am understanding that the orig firmware was deleted in my drive. i don't have ck3 and cant use it anyways because my computer dosent have serial ports. What should i do ? any tutorials or instructions are appreciated.

JF won't recognize the drive because there is no firmware on there.

Go ahead and connect your BenQ back to the same SATA port you were using. Make sure you have the same I/O port selected also. Click Intro/Device ID and you will get a pop up box. Click OK, and you will see dots go across the bottom of the screen. Once you see those dots, unplug the DVD drives power cable and plug it back in within 1 second. You should get good flash chip properties (MXIC, status 0x73). Go ahead and write the firmware.

Make sure you the VIA driver properly removed:

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

Windows shouldn't ask you for it if the driver was properly installed to begin with.

What operating system are you using?

Try opening JF with the 360 turned off.
Open 'MTK Flash 32' tab.
Ensure that the SATA cable is going from the 360 to the PC
You should know which I/O Port you were using, so select it. Mine is on the secondary channel on the master position.

Now click 'Intro/Device ID'
click OK
Turn on 360
Flash chip properties should now pop up.
Click write
?????
Profit!

It worked for mine, and I think it is easier than unplugging the drive power and plugging back in within 1 second.
