i got this weird problem with xbox live...when i open all my pots 1 to 65000 my nat is open but if i open the normal ports like 88 and 3074 (the orginal ports from xbox live) my NAT is strict...ive searched everywhere but everyone says you need to open those 2 ports
i got the xbox connected to the pc and my pc is wireless connected to the router...so what could be the problem here...am i opening the wrong ports or am i typing in the wrong ip in the router (my pc ip is 192.168.1.10 and that from my xbox is 192.168.0.99...that of my LAN cable is 192.168.0.100)
so does anyone has an idea on what to do?

You're surely not opening ALL ports ?, you'll have half the known internet in and burgling your files. I forward ports 3074, 88, 53 and 80 for Xbox Live. Try following the steps here ~ http://portforward.com/english/applicati...ive360index.htm

I find games consoles on wireless to be a pain in the rear, the same applies for bridging consoles thru the pc connection, just noticed that the xbox was connecting thru the pc. I'll move this into the xbox 360 forum to see if anyone else has any other clues.

well, since your Xbox is on a different subnet, that could be causing the conflicting issues.
Like creaky said, if you can get it to a 192.168.1.x IP, I'd think it might work.
need jtag help? Xbox 360 console repair? PM me or chat

Don't waste money on the official adapter though, a cheap Linksys (for instance) wifi router that supports DD-WRT would be cheaper, flashing the firmware and setting them up isn't too hard for simple uses, cheaper and more flxible than those ripoff adapters...

Methinks you haven't tried enough, but hey it's your money.
It took me ages to get mine working when i moved house, but i refuse to let anything beat me, i always plug away 'til i get something sorted, buying new parts is always the wimp's option :p.

I'l bet you have a whole family of squatters on your network and half of the local town too.
If i were you i'd run a Shields Up check to see how visible your network is ~ Shields Up
..have a quick read of the page then hit Proceed.
Then click on File Sharing, Common Ports and All Service Ports.

hmm maybe the problems is the port 80 that is closed while it is supposed to be open samething is for port 88 and port 53....for some reason they whont open
EDIT: i manged to open port 80 but when i add port 80 to my forwarding lists its closed...now every port of mine is stealth...but only the ports 80,88,53 are closed
EDIT: i found a solution i think...i just have to open all my UDP ports and let TCP be closed....that seems to wrok fine
