My Wii Turned into a GAMECUBE!! HELP!

I don't know what my little brother did to the wii, but it doesn't play any wii games, real or back up. It keeps giving me a disc read error. The only thing it can do now is play gamecube games and homebrew apps.

I've tried restoring the fireware, and even downgrading the firmware. But with no luck.

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced with this issue or know how to fix this. Thanks!
