Playing Call of Duty WaW on silver live

Sorry if this is already know to everyone. But I've hit the forun's search and got nothing.
The thing is, my Live Gold expired. But still I'm managing to play Call of Duty World at War on live with no problems.
The game is stealth checked. So I believe its not a bizzare hack. What is going on?

when did your gold expire? it usually take a day or two to actually cut you off, at least thats the way it is with me.

No man, it's been already one week. And I checked the other games. They all say that my acc has no privilege to play.
This is a Cod Waw only thing.

well thats sweet then. something treyarch did that is actually nice and works (unlike their freaking party system that boots everyone once you hit search). hell, i cant even play halo3 on trial cards anymore (stupid bungie). on topic now though, at least you always have a game to fall back on i guess.

No no. I fear that that would be a problem with my game, since I downloaded it from the net. And as I have seen no one else in this situation, I am suspicious.

i doubt it. more than likely it was designed for the game to work on a silver account as it might be up to the game makers if they want it 'gold' only. ill check with my silver account when i get home and see if i can play on it.
