Folks,
I have googled this and tried searching across many forums but the answer doesn't seem to be clear cut.
I have just tried to burn an XBOX 360 .iso file and the write worked fine, but I received a warning when Verifying:
I 19:14:56 Verifying Session 1 of 1... (1 Track, LBA: 0 - 3827487)
I 19:14:56 Verifying Track 1 of 1... (MODE1/2048, LBA: 0 - 3827487)

W 19:20:11 Image File: 0x88
W 19:20:11 Total Errors in Sector: 32

Upon running the game in the XBOX it seems to be working fine but I haven't had time to play the game extensively, as I just finished burning it - I just had a 5 min test run.
I am using Ritek Media S04-66 - but I will upgrade to better when these run out!
Is any one able to enlighten me as to whether this error is critical and am I likely to be banned from XBL?
What is the error referring to?
Some things you need to know:
ImgBurn Device Buffer set to 100MB as previously I was receiving a 'Waiting for Buffer to recover' error so I adjusted this to accomodate my slow Hard Disk!

i wouldnt worry to much about verifying games. i've only done it once or twice wayyyyy back when. i feel its wasted time that could be spent playing.

Hey mate,
You were the same guy that helped me out on my last problem! Thanks for that by the way, so you can officially be my Troubleshooting Guru :)
I was under the impression that when a game is burned using ImgBurn it should also be verified although it can take up 10-20 mins to do so..?
So can I safely ignore these warnings of 'Miscompare' without worrying about being banned from XBL?
Also what are the optimal settings for ImgBurn, as I am worried that my buffer is on 100 MB, most people have it on 20 MB...

i just untick the verify image after burn button. the only one i have ticked is the eject drive. that way i know its done. if you want to verify the game after its burnt, just run it back through agbx, this way you actually verify what needs to be verified.
as for settings, i left mine all stock i believe, other than the layerbreak. even though i use the .dvd file i still manually set it just in case. as for the buffer, you can make it larger if you like, i might have, but cannot recall as im not currently at home with my desktop.
keep in mind im using an older version of imageburn. not the 2.5 version that is out now. i hate the layout of the new one so i kept my older one.

Got it!
So I think, I can probably ignore the miscompare errors and run it through ABGX as you pointed out. ImgBurn has quite a few default options but I was a bit worried about adjusting my buffer.
It had to be done though because I have a mega slow hard disk and an old PC, so I think its due an upgrade!
So thats one problem sorted.. the other problem I am having is when burning some other games like COD4MW2 and SFIV which is a 'Invalid Address for Write' error.
Looks a bit like this:
20:21:50 Writing Layer 1... (LBA: 1913760 - 3825923)
W 20:22:08 Failed to Write Sectors 1914784 - 1914815 - Reason: Write Error
W 20:22:08 Retrying (1 of 20)...
W 20:22:12 Retry Failed - Reason: Invalid Address For Write
W 20:22:12 Retrying (2 of 20)...
W 20:22:12 Retry Failed - Reason: Invalid Address For Write
W 20:22:12 Retrying (3 of 20)...
W 20:22:12 Retry Failed - Reason: Invalid Address For Write
Any ideas what this is about? Its causing me a lot of wasted discs!

usually the write errors are from using crappy media. other than that, your burner is going out.
as for the sites, nah, i have my good ones, thanks though.

The burner is new only like a month old so I will try and update the firmware on it and see if it helps. I agree it is probably the media!
As for the sites, well would you care to share?? :)
